Burglary Bail Bonds in Winston-Salem

Around The Clock Bail Bonds provides burglary bail bond services in Winston-Salem. Burglary in North Carolina is always a felony, but which degree someone is charged with changes how bond gets handled.

  1. Second degree burglary applies when a dwelling was broken into but no one was home at the time. This is a Class G felony, and a magistrate at the Forsyth County Detention Center can typically set bond in the usual way.
  2. First degree burglary applies when someone was actually home at the time of the break in. This is a Class D felony and, as of December 1, 2025, falls under North Carolina’s new violent offense rules. A judge must presume against release, and if release is granted, it can only happen with a secured bond or house arrest under electronic monitoring.

That distinction, whether the home was occupied, is usually the single biggest factor in how a burglary bond plays out. Burglary is a real presence here too, with the Winston-Salem Police Department publishing regular crime statistics and independent analysis of FBI data putting the local burglary rate at roughly 4 per 1,000 residents in a typical year. Call us and we’ll explain what applies to your loved one’s specific charge.

How Burglary Bail Bonds Work

Once bond or release conditions are set, whether by a magistrate or a judge, getting your loved one out of the Forsyth County Detention Center follows a clear process.

  • Arrest and booking happen first. Your loved one is taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, where booking is completed and bond is set based on the degree of the charge.
  • Confirm the details before calling. It helps to have their full name, booking number if available, and the bond amount ready when you reach out to us.
  • You call Around The Clock Bail Bonds. We answer 24/7, walk you through your options, and start the paperwork right away once release is possible.
  • The bond is posted. Once paperwork is complete, we submit the bond to the detention facility so processing can begin.
  • Release follows. Timing depends on staffing and booking volume at the facility, but we stay in contact throughout so you’re never left guessing.

Why Choose Around The Clock Bail Bonds?

Burglary charges can move very differently depending on the degree, so having a bondsman who understands that distinction matters. Here’s what you can count on with us:

  • Forsyth County specialists: We know the Forsyth County Detention Center and how local magistrates and judges typically handle both degrees of burglary.
  • Available 24/7: These arrests happen at all hours, and so do we, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • State-regulated fees with flexible payment options: you’ll know exactly what to expect, and we work with you to find terms that make sense.
  • Non-judgmental, confidential support: we treat every client with respect and privacy, regardless of the charge.
  • Clear communication throughout: we keep you updated at each stage so you’re never left wondering what’s happening.

AMAZING!!! We looked for days for a bail bondsman that would work with us to bring our loved one home. After many calls and unfortunately many heartbreaking let downs, we were able to speak with Jordan and David. They were our miracle that we had been praying so hard for. Within 4 hours of speaking with them we were able to bring him home, the day before thanksgiving I might add! I can not be more grateful for the services I received. He explained what I needed, worked with my family to make sure we could make it happen that day. 5 stars just isn’t enough for what they have done for my family. If I ever find myself or anyone else in need of a bonds man I without a doubt am recommending around the clock bail bonds!
I can not thank y’all enough!!!

I contacted Around The Clock this morning and bondsman Jordan was quick to answer and help me through my concerns and questions (my first time using a bondsman service). He even texted me his personal cell phone number for even faster service. He was courteous and professional and almost immediately got his agent Aubrey connected to assist me. Aubrey was sooo awesome! Very friendly, smiley, knowledgeable and professional and she answered all my questions and worked in a super timely fashion! She stuck it out with me to the end. I couldn't be more pleased with Around The Clock Bail Bonds! Amazing service! A+++++

Honestly, 5 stars just isn’t enough to express how great of a pleasure it was to work with Jordan! Jordan responded quickly, told me what he was capable of doing for my family and he did just that! Jordan arrived to the jailhouse before my family and I. Jordan was prepared with the needed documentation, he was knowledgeable and made the experience stress free! Jordan gave my family a sense of compassion and support while explaining the process moving forward. Jordan was extremely professional yet down to earth which was enjoyable and gave us a bit of relief. Jordan took the time out to speak with my brother who had been incarcerated, giving him support and guidance moving forward. It was obvious that Jordan took on this line of work simply because he has a heart for helping others rather than just looking for a way to gain from them. Although I hope my family is never in need of a bondsman in the near future, I’d never call anyone else other than Jordan to help us out! Jordan thank you so very much for all of your help and continued support!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the Difference Between First and Second Degree Burglary for Bond Purposes?
Second degree burglary, where no one was home, usually gets a standard bond from a magistrate. First degree burglary, where someone was home, now falls under a stricter presumption against release, requiring a secured bond or house arrest if release is granted at all.
Can Someone Still Get Out on Bond for First Degree Burglary?
Yes, but it's harder. Since December 1, 2025, a judge must presume against release for first degree burglary and can only grant it with a secured bond or house arrest under electronic monitoring. Call us and we'll explain the process for your case.
Does It Matter if the Charge Is Attempted Rather Than Completed Burglary?
Not for bond purposes when it comes to first degree burglary. Attempted first degree burglary is treated the same as the completed offense under the new presumption against release.
What Do I Need Before Calling About a Winston-Salem Burglary Arrest?
Have the arrested person's full name, their booking number if available, and the bond amount if one has been set. If you're not sure whether bond is available yet, call us anyway so we can help you find out.
