DWI Bail Bonds in Winston-Salem

Around the Clock Bail Bonds provides DWI bail bond services in Winston-Salem. Our job is simple: get your loved one home as fast as the law allows. Getting arrested for DWI here is stressful enough without wondering how long that will actually take.

We know the process inside and out: a magistrate at the Forsyth County Detention Center sets bond fast, but North Carolina law still requires an impaired driving hold whenever a magistrate finds the person’s impairment makes them a danger to themselves, others, or property. That hold isn’t something we can bond around, but we can make sure everything is ready to move the moment it lifts.

Why does this matter locally? Forsyth County is one of the top 10 counties in North Carolina for alcohol-related crashes, which is why the county runs a dedicated DWI Task Force alongside the Winston-Salem Police Department and Forsyth County courts. This means DWI cases here get handled with extra scrutiny from the start.

The impairment hold stays in place until one of three things happens:

  1. The person is no longer impaired to that degree.
  2. A sober, responsible adult steps up and agrees to take custody of them.
  3. 24 hours pass.

The instant that hold lifts and the magistrate’s bond conditions take effect, our team is ready to post and get your loved one home. Prior DWI convictions, community ties, and flight risk all factor into the bond amount, so every case is different. Call us and we’ll walk you through exactly what to expect for yours.

How DWI Bail Bonds Work

Once the impairment hold lifts and bond is set, getting your loved one out of the Forsyth County Detention Center comes down to a few clear steps.

  • Arrest and booking happen first. After a DWI arrest, your loved one is taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, where booking is completed and a magistrate sets bond.
  • Confirm the details before calling. It helps to have their full name, booking number if available, and the bond amount ready when you reach out to us.
  • You call Around The Clock Bail Bonds. We answer 24/7, walk you through your options, and start the paperwork right away so nothing holds things up once release is possible.
  • The bond is posted. Once paperwork is complete and the impaired driving hold has lifted, we submit the bond to the detention facility.
  • Release follows. Timing depends on staffing and booking volume at the facility, but we stay in contact throughout so you’re never left guessing.

AMAZING!!! We looked for days for a bail bondsman that would work with us to bring our loved one home. After many calls and unfortunately many heartbreaking let downs, we were able to speak with Jordan and David. They were our miracle that we had been praying so hard for. Within 4 hours of speaking with them we were able to bring him home, the day before thanksgiving I might add! I can not be more grateful for the services I received. He explained what I needed, worked with my family to make sure we could make it happen that day. 5 stars just isn’t enough for what they have done for my family. If I ever find myself or anyone else in need of a bonds man I without a doubt am recommending around the clock bail bonds!
I can not thank y’all enough!!!

I contacted Around The Clock this morning and bondsman Jordan was quick to answer and help me through my concerns and questions (my first time using a bondsman service). He even texted me his personal cell phone number for even faster service. He was courteous and professional and almost immediately got his agent Aubrey connected to assist me. Aubrey was sooo awesome! Very friendly, smiley, knowledgeable and professional and she answered all my questions and worked in a super timely fashion! She stuck it out with me to the end. I couldn't be more pleased with Around The Clock Bail Bonds! Amazing service! A+++++

Honestly, 5 stars just isn’t enough to express how great of a pleasure it was to work with Jordan! Jordan responded quickly, told me what he was capable of doing for my family and he did just that! Jordan arrived to the jailhouse before my family and I. Jordan was prepared with the needed documentation, he was knowledgeable and made the experience stress free! Jordan gave my family a sense of compassion and support while explaining the process moving forward. Jordan was extremely professional yet down to earth which was enjoyable and gave us a bit of relief. Jordan took the time out to speak with my brother who had been incarcerated, giving him support and guidance moving forward. It was obvious that Jordan took on this line of work simply because he has a heart for helping others rather than just looking for a way to gain from them. Although I hope my family is never in need of a bondsman in the near future, I’d never call anyone else other than Jordan to help us out! Jordan thank you so very much for all of your help and continued support!!

If you are ever in need, contact Jordan at Around the Clock Bailsbond! Greensboro, Rockingham, Forsyth and Alamance!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How Soon Can a DWI Bond Be Posted in Winston-Salem?
You can call us the moment bond is set, but release doesn't happen until North Carolina's impaired driving hold is lifted, meaning your loved one is no longer impaired, a sober adult takes responsibility, or 24 hours pass. We can post the bond as soon as one of those applies.
What Is an Impaired Driving Hold, and Can It Be Avoided?
It's a North Carolina requirement that keeps someone charged with DWI in custody until they're no longer a danger to themselves or others, even after bond is set. A sober, responsible adult willing to take custody can often get it lifted well before the full 24 hours.
Will a Prior DWI Affect Bond Amount or Release?
Yes. A magistrate can factor prior DWI convictions into the bond amount and any release conditions, and higher bonds or added conditions are common for repeat offenses. Either way, we can walk you through the bonding process once bond is set.
What Do I Need Before Calling About a Winston-Salem DWI Arrest?
Have the arrested person's full name, their booking number if available, and the bond amount from the Forsyth County Detention Center. If you don't have all of it yet, call us anyway so we can help you track it down.
