Failure to Appear Bail Bonds in Winston-Salem

Around The Clock Bail Bonds provides failure to appear bail bond services in Winston-Salem. When someone misses a court date, the judge issues an Order for Arrest, and once that person is picked up, bond has to be set again from scratch, usually on tougher terms than the first time around.

North Carolina law spells out exactly how that new bond gets set:

  1. If the Order for Arrest lists specific release conditions, the judicial official must impose at least those conditions when setting the new bond.
  2. If no conditions were listed, the law requires a secured bond of at least double the most recent bond amount, or at least $1,000 if no bond was ever required on the case.

Restrictions on travel or contact can also be added to help make sure it doesn’t happen again, and if there’s a pattern of missed court dates, that gets noted on the release order too. None of this is optional for the judicial official once it applies, so knowing where your loved one’s case stands helps us move quickly once bond is set.

Forsyth County, with roughly 398,000 residents and one of the busiest court dockets in North Carolina, processes a steady volume of these cases through the Forsyth County Clerk of Superior Court. Call us and we’ll explain what the new bond looks like for your case.

How Failure to Appear Bail Bonds Work

Once the new bond is set following an Order for Arrest, getting your loved one out of the Forsyth County Detention Center works much like any other bond.

  • Arrest and booking happen first. Your loved one is taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, where booking is completed and the new bond is set based on the Order for Arrest.
  • Confirm the details before calling. It helps to have their full name, booking number if available, and the new bond amount ready when you reach out to us.
  • You call Around The Clock Bail Bonds. We answer 24/7, walk you through your options, and start the paperwork right away once bond is set.
  • The bond is posted. Once paperwork is complete, we submit the bond to the detention facility so processing can begin.
  • Release follows. Timing depends on staffing and booking volume at the facility, but we stay in contact throughout so you’re never left guessing.

Why Choose Around The Clock Bail Bonds?

A failure to appear bond usually comes with a higher amount and stricter terms than the original charge, so working with a bondsman who understands the process matters. Here’s what you can count on with us:

  • Forsyth County specialists: We know the Forsyth County Detention Center and how local judicial officials typically apply the doubled bond rule after a missed court date.
  • Available 24/7: These arrests happen at all hours, and so do we, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • State-regulated fees with flexible payment options: you’ll know exactly what to expect, and we work with you to find terms that make sense, even on a higher second bond.
  • Non-judgmental, confidential support: we treat every client with respect and privacy, regardless of the circumstances.
  • Clear communication throughout: we keep you updated at each stage so you’re never left wondering what’s happening.

AMAZING!!! We looked for days for a bail bondsman that would work with us to bring our loved one home. After many calls and unfortunately many heartbreaking let downs, we were able to speak with Jordan and David. They were our miracle that we had been praying so hard for. Within 4 hours of speaking with them we were able to bring him home, the day before thanksgiving I might add! I can not be more grateful for the services I received. He explained what I needed, worked with my family to make sure we could make it happen that day. 5 stars just isn’t enough for what they have done for my family. If I ever find myself or anyone else in need of a bonds man I without a doubt am recommending around the clock bail bonds!
I can not thank y’all enough!!!

I contacted Around The Clock this morning and bondsman Jordan was quick to answer and help me through my concerns and questions (my first time using a bondsman service). He even texted me his personal cell phone number for even faster service. He was courteous and professional and almost immediately got his agent Aubrey connected to assist me. Aubrey was sooo awesome! Very friendly, smiley, knowledgeable and professional and she answered all my questions and worked in a super timely fashion! She stuck it out with me to the end. I couldn't be more pleased with Around The Clock Bail Bonds! Amazing service! A+++++

Honestly, 5 stars just isn’t enough to express how great of a pleasure it was to work with Jordan! Jordan responded quickly, told me what he was capable of doing for my family and he did just that! Jordan arrived to the jailhouse before my family and I. Jordan was prepared with the needed documentation, he was knowledgeable and made the experience stress free! Jordan gave my family a sense of compassion and support while explaining the process moving forward. Jordan was extremely professional yet down to earth which was enjoyable and gave us a bit of relief. Jordan took the time out to speak with my brother who had been incarcerated, giving him support and guidance moving forward. It was obvious that Jordan took on this line of work simply because he has a heart for helping others rather than just looking for a way to gain from them. Although I hope my family is never in need of a bondsman in the near future, I’d never call anyone else other than Jordan to help us out! Jordan thank you so very much for all of your help and continued support!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is the New Bond So Much Higher Than Before?
North Carolina law generally requires a secured bond at least double the previous amount after a missed court date, or at least $1,000 if there wasn't a bond before. This is meant to make sure the person actually shows up next time.
Can the Original Bond Terms Just Be Reinstated?
Not automatically. If the Order for Arrest listed specific conditions, those become the new minimum. Otherwise, the doubled secured bond rule applies. Either way, we can walk you through what applies to your case.
Does Missing Court More Than Once Make a Difference?
Yes. If someone has missed court multiple times, that gets noted on the release order and can affect how conditions are set going forward. Call us with the specifics and we'll explain what to expect.
What Do I Need Before Calling About a Winston-Salem Failure to Appear Arrest?
Have the person's full name, their booking number if available, and the new bond amount from the Forsyth County Detention Center. If you don't have all of it yet, call us anyway so we can help you track it down.
