Drug Possession Bail Bonds in Winston-Salem

Around The Clock Bail Bonds provides drug possession bail bond services in Winston-Salem. Unlike a DWI arrest, there’s no mandatory waiting period here — a magistrate at the Forsyth County Detention Center can typically set bond as soon as booking is complete, so we can usually move the moment you call.

Bond amount depends on a few things:

  1. The drug’s schedule and how much was found — small, personal-use amounts are treated very differently than quantities that meet trafficking weight thresholds.
  2. Prior drug convictions or pending charges, which a magistrate factors into both bond amount and release conditions.
  3. Whether the charge falls into an enhanced category under state law, such as fentanyl trafficking or methamphetamine manufacturing, both of which can trigger stricter release conditions or a presumption against a low bond.

Local drug enforcement here is active: the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit works alongside the Forsyth County courts to handle everything from simple possession to larger trafficking cases, so these charges move through the system regularly here. Whatever the specifics of your case, call us and we’ll explain what bond looks like for it.

How Drug Possession Bail Bonds Work

Getting your loved one out of the Forsyth County Detention Center after a drug possession arrest follows a straightforward process once bond is set.

  • Arrest and booking happen first. Your loved one is taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, where booking is completed and a magistrate sets bond.
  • Confirm the details before calling. It helps to have their full name, booking number if available, and the bond amount ready when you reach out to us.
  • You call Around The Clock Bail Bonds. We answer 24/7, walk you through your options, and start the paperwork right away.
  • The bond is posted. Once paperwork is complete, we submit the bond to the detention facility so processing can begin.
  • Release follows. Timing depends on staffing and booking volume at the facility, but we stay in contact throughout so you’re never left guessing.

Why Choose Around The Clock Bail Bonds?

Drug possession bonds can range from routine to complicated fast, and having a bondsman who understands how Forsyth County handles both ends of that range matters. Here’s what you can count on with us:

  • Forsyth County specialists: We know the Forsyth County Detention Center and how local magistrates typically approach drug charges, from simple possession up through trafficking-level cases.
  • Available 24/7: Drug arrests happen at all hours, and so do we, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • State-regulated fees with flexible payment options: you’ll know exactly what to expect, and we work with you to find terms that make sense, even on higher trafficking-related bonds.
  • Non-judgmental, confidential support: we treat every client with respect and privacy, regardless of the charge.
  • Clear communication throughout: we keep you updated at each stage so you’re never left wondering what’s happening.

AMAZING!!! We looked for days for a bail bondsman that would work with us to bring our loved one home. After many calls and unfortunately many heartbreaking let downs, we were able to speak with Jordan and David. They were our miracle that we had been praying so hard for. Within 4 hours of speaking with them we were able to bring him home, the day before thanksgiving I might add! I can not be more grateful for the services I received. He explained what I needed, worked with my family to make sure we could make it happen that day. 5 stars just isn’t enough for what they have done for my family. If I ever find myself or anyone else in need of a bonds man I without a doubt am recommending around the clock bail bonds!
I can not thank y’all enough!!!

I contacted Around The Clock this morning and bondsman Jordan was quick to answer and help me through my concerns and questions (my first time using a bondsman service). He even texted me his personal cell phone number for even faster service. He was courteous and professional and almost immediately got his agent Aubrey connected to assist me. Aubrey was sooo awesome! Very friendly, smiley, knowledgeable and professional and she answered all my questions and worked in a super timely fashion! She stuck it out with me to the end. I couldn't be more pleased with Around The Clock Bail Bonds! Amazing service! A+++++

Honestly, 5 stars just isn’t enough to express how great of a pleasure it was to work with Jordan! Jordan responded quickly, told me what he was capable of doing for my family and he did just that! Jordan arrived to the jailhouse before my family and I. Jordan was prepared with the needed documentation, he was knowledgeable and made the experience stress free! Jordan gave my family a sense of compassion and support while explaining the process moving forward. Jordan was extremely professional yet down to earth which was enjoyable and gave us a bit of relief. Jordan took the time out to speak with my brother who had been incarcerated, giving him support and guidance moving forward. It was obvious that Jordan took on this line of work simply because he has a heart for helping others rather than just looking for a way to gain from them. Although I hope my family is never in need of a bondsman in the near future, I’d never call anyone else other than Jordan to help us out! Jordan thank you so very much for all of your help and continued support!!

If you are ever in need, contact Jordan at Around the Clock Bailsbond! Greensboro, Rockingham, Forsyth and Alamance!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How Quickly Can a Drug Possession Bond Be Posted in Winston-Salem?
Unlike DWI, there's no mandatory hold — a magistrate can typically set bond as soon as booking is finished. Once bond is set, we can usually post it and start the release process right away.
Does the Type or Amount of Drug Change the Bond Amount?
Yes. Small, personal-use amounts generally result in lower bonds than felony possession or trafficking-level quantities, and prior drug charges can push the amount higher as well. Call us with the specifics and we'll walk you through what to expect.
Are Trafficking or Fentanyl Charges Handled Differently?
Yes. Fentanyl trafficking now falls under a stricter state category that can create a presumption against low bonds and may require a secured bond or house arrest if release is granted. We can still help — call us so we can explain the process for your specific charge.
What Do I Need Before Calling About a Winston-Salem Drug Arrest?
Have the arrested person's full name, their booking number if available, and the bond amount from the Forsyth County Detention Center. If you don't have all of it yet, call us anyway so we can help you track it down.
