The magistrate is who you want to talk to for information about your loved one.

1. First, call the jail (which is in Graham, NC) at 336-570-6317 to find out where your loved one is in the process, and obtain their bond number. You’ll need this when you talk to a bondsman.

2. If you’d prefer to go in person, you should know that the jail is separate from the courthouse. When you enter the front door of the courthouse, the magistrate will be just to your right. Jail information is through the first door that you see, once inside.

3. Call a bondsman, who will meet you in the lobby. You’ll fill out the bond agreement with the bondsman, and then they will post the bond.

4. Once released, your loved one must meet the bondsman and fill out the contractual bond agreement.
